WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY TO ADVERTISE DURING RAMADAN?

This is a question that is asked quite frequently when discussing the strategy for our clients and to be honest, there’s no better time than all of the time!!

Here’s the method to my madness. Peoples’ routine during Ramadan is very scattered and unusual to any other typical day within the year due to the fasting timings. That means that you have different demographics searching online at varied times. Here are the two perspectives below:

Religious individuals who will be following Ramadan to it’s purpose:

I am very aware of the discipline and will power that is required during Ramadan. In fact, I admire those that sacrifice the everyday pleasures that we take for granted during this time. One thing that stands out is the sleeping patterns, those who I know are up most hours of the night while the rest of us are snoring away. This means that they are likely to be either browsing their social media accounts such as Instagram, Facebook or searching Google to find the best results for what they are looking for, so your business needs to be visible on these platforms in order to be seen.

Now let’s consider the EX-Pats who do not follow Ramadan:

As we know, during Ramadan working hours are limited. For example, I am scheduled to work from the office between 9-3pm (WFH as well of course 😉 so Ex-pats will be looking to take advantage of those freed up hours by looking for a range of activities. This could be pool days, lunch deals, staycations, the list can go on forever, so you need to ensure that your ads are live for most parts of the day as this is the period that they will be searching.

Furthermore, I hear time after time businesses saying that they are going to wait until after Ramadan to run their ads – which bewilders me! So, what does this mean for the businesses that are being proactive – it means that you get a huge edge over your sleeping competitors!

Let’s go back to the question in the title. The best time is all of the time. Have your ads running during the day and evening, take full advantage of the opportunity that is circulating in the market right now!
