Key Factors For Stunning Seo In 2016

5 minutes read

AS is always the case with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), things are changing at a frantic rate. With search engines changing how SEO works, as well as their own guidelines, it can be difficult to get a proper hold on what the important parts are.

SEO has moved forward a great deal since its infancy, where keywords, meta tags and backlinks ruled supreme. The contemporary world of SEO asks for greater time spent on branding, the user experience and working with search engines. This is vital, as even the SEO giant Google admits to changing their algorithms at least twice a day. Although ultimately beneficial to search as a whole, many people trying to work within SEO find nothing but headaches with these regular changes.

To help anyone trying to wade through the densely packed world of SEO, here are some of the key factors that will help you make it work for you.

Content is Key

Being able to provide content is one of the most important ways to boost your page rankings. Having solid content online that is useful for your audience will create a great amount of organic growth.

If you are looking to make the most out of your content, there are two factors that will ensure it works. Firstly, the length of your content has a bearing on your page ranking – the bigger, the better. Secondly, relevance or topicality play a large role in boosting your SEO. So the main takeaway is that the best content is long-form and in-depth. This type of content is shared more and found higher up on search engines.

Backlinks

Backlinks have been integral in the world of search engines for a long, long time. Google’s original algorithms for page ranking used backlinks heavily, until the nasty black-hat SEO specialists successfully gamed the system.

Although Google and other search engines have tried to move away from backlinks, it seems they aren’t going anywhere. For example, Google’s current algorithms use the number of different links that direct you to your page as a huge factor on page rankings.

With this in mind, it is important to remember that the black-hat SEO specialists are just as shady as ever. The best practice is organic, white-hat backlinks that are legitimate. This should hopefully have a large positive impact on your ranking.
